Dealing With Disinformation
Medical misinformation and disinformation (intentionally misleading information) has been called “an urgent threat” to public health. The problem has become particularly acute during the current COVID-19 pandemic. Some medical schools now teach students how to help patients better evaluate reliable and credible sources of health information.
